It’s well into crunch time for the finishes phase. We are now shooting for another two weeks, and now every day of work is critical. Over the past week though, we’ve gotten a lot done.
The basement is all painted and looking good. We still need flooring although it’s carpeting so it’ll be among the last items installed.
The steel workers have also been busy. The rails came in and they look awesome! Still no wood hand rail yet, but that’s to be expected.
The custom library desks/shelf base is also done and just waiting to be installed.
The first floor has been prepped for painting and much of it has already been primed.
The electrician has been going through the house installing the fixtures and dimmer switches (which look awesome). It actually took me a little time to figure out how they work but their functionality is pretty cool. I really like how they automatically fade the lights on and off.
And finally, the garage door has finally gone in! The carpenters just put in the liners at the beginning of the week in preparation, but now it’s all done.
